How to create a natal chart — Vedic or Western

A natal chart is the foundation of all astrological calculations. In AstroCodex, you can create a chart in the Vedic (Jyotish) or Western (Tropical) system. Charts are calculated automatically from your birth data.

How to use

    On the dashboard, click 'Add Chart'

    Choose astrology type: Vedic or Western

  3. 3

    Enter name, date and time of birth

  4. 4

    Start typing the city — the system will suggest options and auto-detect timezone

  5. 5

    Click 'Create' — the chart is calculated automatically

    After creation, an Astro Profile is automatically generated — a personal AI analysis of your personality

  7. 7

    Explore chart sections: overview, charts/vargas, dashas, aspects, transits and more

  8. 8

    Ask the AI astrologer questions in the chat — it uses your chart data

💡 Helpful tips

  • The more accurate the birth time, the more precise the Ascendant and houses
  • If time is unknown — enter 12:00, but house positions will be approximate
  • You can create charts for others — for compatibility analysis
