Kaal Sarp Dosha
Occurs when all seven classical planets are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu, the lunar nodes. It can bring a sense of obstacles or sudden ups and downs, though its effect varies greatly with the axis involved and is mitigated when even one planet falls outside the nodal arc.
Pitra (Pitru) Dosha

Kemadruma Dosha

Guru Chandal Dosha
Formed when Jupiter is conjunct Rahu or Ketu, blending wisdom with unconventional or disruptive energy. It can challenge judgement, faith or ethics, yet the same combination often gives original thinking and unorthodox brilliance.
Grahan Dosha
An eclipse affliction created when the Sun or Moon joins Rahu or Ketu. Sun-node contact can strain vitality and the father significations, while Moon-node contact affects the mind and emotions, with strength depending on the exact degrees involved.

Bhanga (cancellation)
Many doshas are nullified by specific conditions - benefic aspects, exaltation, sign lordship or supportive placements. Always check for bhanga before worrying, because a cancelled dosha carries little to no effect.
Severity
A dosha's strength is never fixed. It depends on the house and sign involved, the dignity of the planets, aspects from benefics or malefics, and confirmation in the divisional charts (vargas).
